Privacy notice

What Pody stores

• Your sign-in identity (a stable ID and your email address), from Google or from email sign-in with a one-time code, through Supabase Auth. Your email is never shown to your pody.
• Your username, optional display name, time zone and settings.
• What you share in your pod: messages, blurbs, voice recordings, notes, highlights, prayer requests, check-ins and game answers.
• Your personal reading position, which only you can see.
• If you turn on notifications, a push address for each device you choose. While you have your pod chat open, Pody notes that for under a minute so it doesn’t notify you about messages you’re already reading.

Public pages

The home page and shareable verse cards show only the day’s Scripture from a public-domain Bible. They never include anything about you or your pod. A verse card you share goes wherever you send it.

Who can see it

Content in a pod is visible to that pod’s members, including former members of an archived pod. Pody support sees only what someone explicitly includes in a report. Pody is not end-to-end encrypted.

Analytics

We record simple, pseudonymous product events (like “check-in saved”) without message, prayer or audio content and without which passages you read.

Bible text providers

Some licensed Bible editions may require usage reporting to their publisher. Any such reporting will be listed here before that edition is enabled.

Retention and deletion

You can delete what you wrote at any time and delete your account in Settings. Live-system deletion completes within 7 days; backups expire within 30 days and deletions are re-applied after any restore. Abandoned uploads are deleted after 24 hours. Recipients may keep copies of what you shared.

Vendors

Supabase (database, authentication, storage, realtime) and Vercel (web hosting). Web push messages pass through your browser vendor’s push service with generic text only.
